Nutrition Care for growth, development and life long wellness
Enhance Your Life with Nutrition
Nutrition is Important
Simply stated, nutrition is an essential building block in our overall health and well-being. When we lack proper nutrition, our bodies cannot operate at their full potential. Good nutrition supports growth and development in infancy and childhood, enhances performance during physical activities, and helps prevent chronic diseases. It also plays a crucial role in recovery from illness and injury and strengthens both our immune system and mental health.
Role of a Registered Dietitian
A registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) is considered an expert in the use of food and nutrition to provide evidence-based medical nutrition therapy (MNT) as part of a person’s healthcare plan. MNT includes conducting nutrition assessments, identifying nutritional deficiencies, providing nutrition counseling and recommendations. The use of MNT is proven to improve overall health, decrease the need for medication and hospitalizations.
